Description
Welcome to Klypås – a secluded mountain gem with breathtaking views and an authentic cabin atmosphere. If you dream of tranquility, nature, and a true mountain experience, this property is perfectly situated in the highlands between Haglebu and Tempelseter in Eggedal, at approximately 950 meters above sea level. Here, you will enjoy a south-facing position with sunlight well into the evening, panoramic views of the open mountain landscape, and immediate access to groomed ski trails, fishing lakes, cloudberry marshes, and hiking terrain – all year round.
The cabin exudes a warm and cozy atmosphere, featuring a spacious, sunlit living room with an open-plan kitchen. There are three bedrooms – two with bunk beds and one with two single beds – as well as a generous entrance hall and a toilet room with the potential for easy installation of a modern composting toilet (e.g., Separett Villa). The cabin is of a simple standard, equipped with solar panels, a propane refrigerator, a three-burner stove, and a large wood-burning stove (Dovre, installed in 2005) that provides excellent heating and a genuine cabin feel.
From the entrance, you step directly onto a platform that leads to a spacious veranda on the south side – perfect for enjoying the view and the mountain tranquility. The 9 m² outbuilding offers ample space for firewood, equipment, and an outdoor toilet. Water is sourced from a stream and a spring about 50 meters from the cabin. The property is sold furnished, and there is plenty of firewood in the outbuilding – you can move right in and start enjoying mountain life from day one.
The cabin is part of a small, peaceful cabin area with only eight cabins, all privately situated in relation to each other. Here, you will find true mountain peace, yet you are close to fantastic experiences year-round. Just a 10-minute walk from the cabin, you will find the main ski trails connecting you to the popular network between Haglebu, Høgevarde, and Tempelseter – ideal for both cross-country skiing enthusiasts and hikers. In summer, the area offers spectacular hiking opportunities to mountain peaks such as Ranten (1419 m), Gråfjell (1466 m), and Høgevarde (1459 m), as well as the nearby Skinnatten (1071 m).
Nearby, you will find Bekkerudsjøen with excellent fishing opportunities, and there is also the possibility for small game hunting. At Haglebu, you will find an alpine ski resort, a local grocery store, and Haglebu Fjellstue – renowned for good food and a pleasant atmosphere with weekend entertainment. Cabin services are also available, offering delivery of goods and construction services.
Access to the cabin is via parking at the main road, followed by about a 50-minute ski trip from Berghammeren or a walk from Øvre Lia. During the winter season, snowmobile transport is also available from Haglebu.
